Hillside walk, 04 May 2015

Undoubtedly the highlight of today's walk was for the first time finding flowers on the branching phacelia (Phacelia ramosissima), just a few of them. This was on a dense bush in the upper part of Canyon 8B, which I've been watching since early in the year.

Fresh for this year are the first few blooms of laurel suac (Malosma laurina) on the north hillside.
