Cooktown, Queensland, Australia
Located in far northern Queensland. Named after Captain Cook,who during his 1770 voyage of discovery spent three months here repairing his ship, the Endeavour, after it struck a coral reef. The Endeavour River, seen in the background, was named after Cook's ship.
