Hillside walk, 10 December 2018

It was another week with good rain, about 2.5 inches on Wednesday. The hillsides are adorned with green grass shoots. Numerous native plants that are winter dormant have leaves sprouting. This includes fuchsia-flowered gooseberry (Ribes speciosum), chaparral currant (Ribes malvaceum), deerweed (Acmispon glaber var. glaber), and golden currant (Ribes aureum var. gracillimum).
