Hillside walk, 25 June 2016
The hot weather of the past week (106F on Sunday, 108F on Monday), has terminated the blooming of a number of species that seemed to be hanging on as long as they could. This week sees a major reduction in the number of blooming species, down to around where in previous years it has been more-or-less stead through the remainder of the summer and into the cooler months of autumn.
