Hillside walk, 25 and 26 May 2013
Notable this week is seeing the chaparral yucca in bloom. I saw at least seven of them, possibly eight. I managed to get close to one of them, carefully making my way through the thickets of vegetation.
The past week has been relatively cool, and maybe the plants are responding. I noticed, for example, that the two remaining plants of caterpillar phacelia, each in a different but protected area, are almost luxurious compared to a week ago.
