How we produce our Christmas card
Friends have asked whom we engage to print our Christmas cards. The answer is, "We do it ourselves, and it's quite a production!" It's fun, too.
In most years Graham selects the pictures and designs the layout, and the text is a joint effort between the two of us. The pictures are prepared using Corel PaintShop Pro. The document is constructed using Scribus, a desktop publishing software tool. Scribus is free open-source software that we recommend. The Christmas card is printed on an Epson SureColor P600 color printer. Paper selection is critical. We are now using Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte Double-sided. Folding is a manual process, but one quickly learns to do it neatly.
