Hillside walk, 11 September 2016

The first sign of autumn: We have flowers of mulefat (Baccharis salicifolia) in lower Canyon 3. The quantity is small, but it's the first indication of the summer season coming to an end.

Meanwhile we still have a good bloom of saw toothed goldenbush (Hazardia squarrosa) on the north hillside although this species is not longer blooming in Canyon 4.

Nothing else is remarkable. From here we can expect the flower count to increase gradually towards the end of the year.
